about

After a year spent honing their craft in the studio, minivandal is proud to release their first full-length album “Turn Left Here”. Independently recorded and self-produced, the band took their time ensuring that “Turn Left Here” captures all aspects of their signature sound: a collision of rock, reggae, Latin, and ska-punk. The album’s eleven original tracks highlight the group’s unique ability to shift musical gears while still maintaining a full tank of intensity. Take the record for a spin to find out just how much punch a six-piece party-band can pack!

We would like to thank all our friends, families, and fans for making this album become a reality. Lee-Anne, for putting up with our constant jamming and dealing with Ben being gone for many late night recording sessions. Mark, Aimee, and Renee Schumacher, and Kat Duncombe for allowing their homes to be converted into recording studios and giving Ben access to their refrigerators and pantries. Owen and Deb Fortosky, for coming out to each and every show. Sean Brennan, for the use of his amp and for many helpful conversations. Trevor Case of Case Mastering and Don Warkentin of SaskMedia for their expertise and guidance during the mastering and manufacturing processes, respectively. Thien Vietnam, for sustenance and spring rolls. A very special thanks to our honorary 7th member Ian Sherrard for his amazing artwork, website design, keytar playing, and too many other things to list in this liner note (seriously Ian, thank you for everything). Without each and every one of you, this album would never have made it off the ground. Thank you giving us the opportunity to share our music with the world.
